Robbie Moore, 27 IDAHO

Style & Inspirations: I love generating variety in shape, intensity of light and breadth of color while maintaining a sense of place. It gives the viewer a distilled environment with which they can relate.

Art Education: My art education stems primarily from apprenticeship under my father [artist Robert Moore], a variety of workshops and directed self-study.

Best Art Advice Received: Complete order is a blank canvas and complete variety is chaos. Our job as artists is to intelligently balance unity with diversity.

Favorite Studio Music: I often curate music for a studio full of older artists and love it when we all start singing classic rock.

Favorite Work by Another Artist: I find endless joy in following the work of living artist Ilya Chirun while taking great inspiration from the work of William Wendt.

Artistic Goals: To continue opening my eyes to see the world clearer while developing my skill to distill, translate and share what I see with others.

Other Passions: I love people and enjoy any and all activities that give me opportunities to share experiences with those I love: backpacking, traveling, volunteering, teaching and more.
