Style: My style is a mix between traditional and impressionism. I like to have paintings full of details and brushstrokes, yet feel tight and defined from a distance.

Creative Spark: The creative spark that drives me is anything Americana. Whether that is the countryside of the east, the mountains and deserts of the west or even the ole’ truck stop in the Midwest.

Art Education: I have studied and received my MFA from Pensacola Christian College. My thesis was written on the influence of American Western art on American culture as a whole.

Best Art Advice Received: “In regards to your career, be lukewarm and consistent. That way, you will not be here one minute and gone the next. Put out solid work that will speak for itself and bring in your clients for you.”

Favorite Studio Music: Anything to do with jazz or the blues.

Favorite Work by Another Artist: Anything by Ernest Martin Hennings.

Artistic Goals: To steadily get better at painting and to never stop learning.

Other Passions: I love studying Americana: fashion, culture, history, etc. I also enjoy watching old movies and spending time with my fiancée.
