Style: The style of my work is contemporary/realism wildlife portraiture.

Creative Spark: Creative sparks can arise from many different things mainly for me it comes from being in nature, participating in art shows, and simply enjoying life as an artist.

Art Education: I am a self-taught artist. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with a bachelors in fisheries and wildlife. I began my art career in March of 2021 when I realized it was possible to be an artist in the west.

Best Art Advice Received: The best advice I’ve received is tools matter, meaning nice brushes can make a world of difference. More importantly, to give myself time; building an art career takes patience and persistence.

Favorite Studio Music: My favorite studio music leans bluegrass, currently I can’t get enough of Jeffery Martin. However, most of the time I enjoy an array of podcasts done by my favorite comedians.

Favorite Work by Another Artist: There are a lot of artists I admire and look up to, it’s hard to name just one. Lately, I look forward to seeing new work done by Michael Sydoryk.

Artistic Goals: To continue to grow and evolve as an artist, but most importantly to always love what I do and be proud of what I create.

Other Passions: When I’m not painting, I enjoy taking hikes, fly-fishing and camping with my husband and our two border collies.
