Colorado is recognized for its vast and varied landscape, but it is also a well-known hub for the fine arts. It boasts 30 state-designated Creative Districts that abound with galleries, artist studios, museums and special events. For instance, the city of Loveland is home to the annual Sculpture in the Park, which takes place at the Benson Sculpture Garden, and the Governor’s Art Show & Sale that features art by some of the state’s top talents. Estes and Crested Butte attract local artists and attendees for regular plein air festivals. These events and many more keep collectors returning to the state, while attracting artists from all walks of life. In this section, we spotlight just a sampling of artists who call the state home.
